We examined the fact-checked transcripts from the presidential debates from Monday night.
With a partner, students selected on issue that was addressed, and wrote a practice body paragraph explaining each candidate's position on the issue.

Students practiced the SAT vocab for this month. The assessment is THIS Friday.
Using the practice reading test students took last week, we examined the answers. In their composition books, students explained why they got answers wrong.
The final set of 10 SAT vocab word notes were today. The assessment is THIS Friday, Sept. 30th.

After examining the Bill of Rights last week, today we are looking into what the Presidential Candidates say about this amendment. Students are going to highlight evidence for what each candidate believes and then organize those ideas onto a T chart.
Today we took notes on the next set of vocab words. Please see the powerpoint from 9/12 for the notes.
The vocab packet assignment will be due Wednesday.
