Students completed the worksheet practice for our family roots!
We watched a John Oliver clip on Income Inequality, and read most of "Running Uphill." We discussed the challenges of government policies and how they impact the poor.
In light of Mrs. DeWitz being unable to make it in due to inclimate weather, students checked over yesterday's reading to ensure completion.
Student read "Upward Mobility," highlighting and summarizing statements related to poverty.
Due to MAP testing, we moved our roots assessment today.
Students received a paper copy the next set of roots, Family.

This is the seventh year Mrs. DeWitz has taught Freshman. It is her eighth year at Thornton.
