Today we intro-ed our next unit: World/Community issues.
Tomorrow, students will select an issue to pursue for their Quarter 4 debates.
First period participated in the SAVE assembly, so there was no work.
Second period read an article about texting and driving. We used active reading to glean a deeper understanding of text, and shared connections at the end of the period.
Today, we took a look at the PARCC sample test questions.
We discussed the strategy of online testing, the depth of the questions, and the challenges that this poses in the classroom.

Today we revised and practiced the reading skills needed for reading a speech.
The assignment was very quick, and no one had homework!
