While I read, students created a storyboard of their visuals for chapter 1.
Students considered what represents them most, and constructed their own anthems.
Students were asked a series of challenging questions regarding their stance on different perceptions of whether the individual or the collective (society)'s needs are most important.
All week students are reading/finishing their group novels and completing the associated assessment. All is due by Friday, 4/27.
Students created a phone screen, with selected song lyrics for a character from their group novels.

This is the seventh year Mrs. DeWitz has taught Freshman. It is her eighth year at Thornton.
