Today, we continued reading the exciting story, "Accused."
3rd period finished the story in class and turned in back in to me.
Periods 7/8 and 11, I'm unsure if you finished in class, or if you're finishing for homework. I'm sorry I missed class!
If you had to finish it for homework, be ready to turn it in on Monday.

Today, we'll focus on the active reading strategy, prediction. In doing that, we'll read a high interest story called, "Accused."
We'll be reading this today and tomorrow, so the only homework you have tonight is getting your book project in by tomorrow!

There was a reading comprehension packet given as homework. It is due on Tuesday when you return.
Today we read the myth story that explains the origins of the seasons and practiced Active Reading.
You were supposed to choose three of the six strategies, and complete two for each of the three strategies you chose.
The questions in the picture were to be completed on the back.
Today we practiced work keys styled PSAE questions.
Once we were finished, we worked on a vocabulary drills packet, which became HOMEWORK for many students.
Please remember that your grade sheets are due THIS FRIDAY for 20 points.
Also, your root words assessment is this Friday.
Today, is a writing day! We focused on the writing structure for body paragraphs.

A week from today is your biology roots test. To practice, we reviewed what each root means, and you were given a two page worksheet that has you practicing very challenging biology words using the roots.
Today we reviewed and practiced Active Reading.
We read the Greek myth "Echo and Narcissus" and practiced two of each type of active reading strategies. So, there should be a total of 12 items in your story.
Many students did not finish in class and need to finish for HOMEWORK. It is due tomorrow, at the start of class.
Today we took our 6th Interim Assessment.
I'm still rewarding our top 3 scorers. Who will win fame and glory?!
