Today, the Mind Mapping packet was due. You focused on using pictures and symbols instead of words to create mind maps and picture-scapes.
On top of that, you had homework.
Our first reading comprehension packet. These are leveled reading packets that assess all important areas of reading. It's due first thing on Friday. Make sure you work on it tonight!
We've been talking about metacognition all week. Well, that's because we're going to start learning about how your brain learns tomorrow. Be ready to feel all 'brainy' tomorrow.
Also, next week, I'm going to enter grades for your first book project. While they aren't due until Oct. 18th, I find it unfair to wait until the end of the quarter to enter zeros if students don't do the assignment. It gives a misleading concept of your grade through the quarter. So, every 3 weeks (3 books, 9 weeks...) I enter the grade for each project. You'll see your grade change over time, or maintain, depending on how on the ball you are.
