We spent today writing (yay, more writing!)
We wrote about our Reader's Toolkit. After making a list of what we've learned so far this semester (it was a crazy long list), we selected a few to focus on and write descriptive paragraphs that addressed: an explanation of the skill/strategy and how it's help you improve so far.
Since Common Core requires that students can write to explain what they know and are metacognitive about, this assignment was just right.
There was an emphasis on reflection, explanation, and the paragraph structure itself, which we're still working on.
Enjoy the weekend. When Monday rolls around, it'll be Quarter 2 and Quarter 2 always goes by so quickly!
