The Final Descent is the fourth and final book in the Monstrumologist series. If you want a clearer understanding of this series, check out my book reviews from summer, 2013. I read the first three books in the series before school started in August.
This very short book was an interesting end to the series. Will Henry, 16 now, has sort of turned into this crazy shoot first, ask questions later sort of guy. This is much different from the Will Henry of the other three books.
The story is told through some flashbacks. It goes back and forth from Will Henry as an adult, Will Henry caring for Pellinore in his old age, and Will Henry's last adventure with the monstrumologist when he's 16.
I'm not entirely satisfied with the ending, but, with the crazy stories this series told, I'm not sure any ending would have been good enough.
I'm an avid reader. One thing I've learned in my many years on this Earth is that no matter what is happening in your life, you can always benefit from temporarily escaping life in order to become absorbed in a make believe story.
